The Aimpoint CEU (Concealed Engagement Unit) is the latest component incorporated into Aimpoint’s unique System-of-Systems™ approach. It gives the operator the ability to observe and/or engage a threat from a concealed or covered position. The Aimpoint CEU easily rotates from side to side, so an operator can safely look around either right- or left-hand corners. It can also be quickly removed to rapidly return to direct engagement.
The Aimpoint CEU is a patented system developed by DSTO in Australia, under the name Off-Axis Viewing Device (OAVD). Aimpoint has world-wide exclusive rights for production and sales outside Australia.
The recommended mounting solution for the Aimpoint CEU is the Aimpoint TwistMount™ base, which allows for quick attachment and detachment.
The Aimpoint TwistMount fits any MIL-Std 1913 Picatinny Rail.

Depending on the weapon configuration we offer two different top rings for the Aimpoint CEU, one high and one low with the following height specifications.
- 51 mm (2"): CEU with low Top ring, attached to the TwistMount on the Picatinny Rail
- 60 mm (2.4"): CEU with high Top ring, attached to the Twistmount on the Picatinny Rail
- 42 mm (1.7"): CEU with low Top ring, detached from the TwistMount base
- 42 mm (1.7"): CEU with highTop ring, detached from the TwistMount base
